PW GB Map2Situated on the Hoo Peninsula in Kent, Port Werburgh is located on the northern side of the River Medway, with the Thames Estuary and the North Sea close by (what could be more perfect if you’re drawn to a waterside lifestyle!).

For land lovers, Port Werburgh also has a lot to offer with pretty woodlands and quaint villages close by providing routes for walking. Rich in history, the local area has many attractions including Upnor with it’s castle and charming cobbled streets, St Mary’s Island, and the 13th century Cooling Church and Cooling Castle.

The park itself is part of Port Werburgh Marina, an established and bustling residential and leisure marina; where better to live if you’re looking to hone your sailing skills in retirement (leisure moorings available)!

The village of Hoo St Werburgh (mentioned in the Domesday Book), is only a short walk away and provides excellent services. There are supermarkets and other shops, as well as two doctors surgeries, a medical centre and a dentists’ surgery. Fitness enthusiasts are also well catered for, as there’s a swimming pool with squash courts, a public golf course and an indoor bowls centre, and all located in and around the village!
